N&B presents the Impact Report 2021: in the report we tell about our vision People & Planet First and our commitment towards people, local community, the environment and biodiversity.

Being a Benefit Company means adopting an ethical and transparent business model, integrating in its corporate mission the aim of having a positive impact on People and the Planet besides economic objectives.

Our President Domenico Scordari opens the new Impact Report with these words:

” ONE THING LEADS TO ANOTHER. An old saying that sums up the meaning of the circular and regenerative economy.

Innovation is one of the most important elements when looking into the future… we have always been driven to change towards more advanced systems, but change and evolution must be sustainable. It is important to change and innovate raw materials, processes and production technologies, invest in research to reduce emissions, but we must do more and can do more! Who can accelerate change in this historic moment? It’s us all together, choosing to act on our daily behaviour to reduce the socio-environmental impact on our world. Change is sustainable when it involves everyone!

Simply think that in our lives, regardless of the role we play, parents or children, customers or sellers, teachers or students, actors or spectators, masters or learners… it often happens that in our life we can be the one and the other.

So the behaviour or choice of the one affects the quality of life of the other or even the future of the society and the planet. We are all linked by a powerful invisible bond and depend on each other as in an infinite circle, a micro-world in which there is our home, our family, our friends, our neighbours, our work colleagues, our suppliers, our customers. This is The Circle of Life, a micro-world that needs the commitment of all its inhabitants to be sustainable.

It is amazing how the greatest lessons of life as well as the best examples to look at, come from the past. One thing leads to another is a saying my father always used to repeat to me, it summarises that old way of doing things when nothing was thrown away, everything was repaired and recovered, everyone did their best to make a love relationship, a friendship, a collaboration last longer.

Everything gains more value when it is durable, not only talking about materials or technologies but also talking about relationships between people.

We are all involved in a game in which athletes and fans have to play together an important match for the future of the world. In the world championship in which we participate, we are all interconnected and interdependent according to a vision of a regenerative and circular economy that puts people and the planet first. The champion of all time, the greatest living example, the model of success for excellence in this important competition is called Mother Nature.

I am inspired by this wonderful model of harmony every day.
